This README gives valuable information about the MineSet product that you
are installing. This README is provided to streamline the installation
process and help you avoid problems.
After you install MineSet, you can point your browser at
file:/usr/lib/mineset/README.html
to see the html version of the
Tutorial,
User Manual, and
MineSet demos.
The user manual and the tutorial are also available in Insight
and can be launched from the help menu when you run
the /usr/sbin/mineset program.
When installing MineSet, you can choose to install
only the single-threaded version of MineSet analytics
by deselecting MineSet DB Analytical Mining Env 2.5 (Multi Threaded).
This will require less disk space and will not require
pthread patches.
When installing MineSet, you might get conflicts
when you select the standard SGI patches (e.g., N64, diskless clients).
Click on the "Conflicts" button (it should be colored red)
and another panel will pop up. In that panel click on the
items that starts with the phrase "Do not install."
MineSet does not depend on these sub-systems.
